The King of Pop is no more. The “Thriller” is gone.
I was shocked, saddened and dismayed yesterday by the sudden passing of not only an American, but a World-Wide entertainment Icon, Michael Jackson.
It still hasn’t set in yet…
Being only a year or so older than myself, Michael Jackson was a constant companion to me musically. And my being a musician (bass guitarist), made me realize the depth of his musical genius, probably even more than the average person.
NOTE* A message to the mass media:
At this point and time…NO ONE REALLY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT HIS TROUBLED PAST, OK! Been there done that…Please give us (fans) and his family a break!
In the history of entertainment; no one could claim his incredible level of talent. No one had his charisma. No one commanded the attention that he did when on stage, (or off). No one made the fashion statements, and NO ONE could move…or move a crowd, as spectacularly as MJ did!
He could take the stage and drive not just women, but men, teenagers children and even old folks of all races, creeds and colors to the brink of passing out from total exhaustion, from just his energy and passion.
His list of “hits” is far too long to list here. He transcended color, he brought people of all races together and was one of, if not the most influentual figure in the history of the music industry.
The ironic thing is that he had just recently signed a 50 concert deal that sold out faster than any other concert in history!
But, the saddest thing of all, judging from what I know (from following him for over thirty years and from the aftermath following his death) is the way, or reason he supposedly died. It is now apparent that a lot of his friends and “acquaintances” never believed he would become an, “old man.”
The preliminary reason for his death, was “cardiac arrest,” But, I beg to differ. From what I know and what I’ve learned (about him and his lack of adult friends)…I would go as far to say that the cause of death was sadly, probably more from…a “broken heart” than anything else.
Now, after the fact, I kinda wished I could have met him…I think I could’ve been a true friend….but, that’s neither “here or there” now…
My prayers are with him and his family. He was, in my humble opinion, the Greatest Entertainer of ALL time and his legacy will live forever. He will be surely missed.
Hopefully…now, he’ll finally get some peace.
RIP, Michal Jackson, (1958-2009),
Ambrose

Sorry this took so long, but I lost my father at the end of last year and I’ve been out of circulation.
The theme is Ocean Mist.
Thanks
